Activity Committee 2009 ----2010 Report

We started the year with an April Wine tasting party at the pool.

We had Pot Luck at the pool in May and another Pot Luck at the pool in June.

In July we had a great 4^th of July party. We had a Charlie Party in August and then we had a nine-hole scramble later in the month followed by dinner at Benedetto’s.

On Labor Day we had a great fried chicken party at the pool. In October we had an October fest with beer and brats.

In November we had the Turkey races which are always good for a lot of laughs. In December we had the annual Christmas party, this year it was held at Twin Isles we not only had a great turnout but everyone thought the food and music, including the chicken dance was great.

On January 2^nd due to a rainout on Jan1st we had over 160 residents for our bloody Mary and sloppy Joe party. In February we had a Valentine dance at the clubhouse, catered by Monty’s that was sold out 2 weeks before the event.

We had Bingo at the pool through the year and now we’re having Bingo at the clubhouse and getting a large number of players.

I would like to add that during the year we purchased 45 chairs that were really needed at the pool. The proceeds from the various events completely paid for these chairs. In addition, the Activity committee reported a net gain of over $900.00 this past year.

In closing I would like to thank my committee members for their support; Helen Bodnar, Jan Warner, Diane Barbata, Pat Gartner, Babe Desrosiers, Bonnie Murphy, Maureen Meyer, Sue Virgilio, Alice Masciarelli, and especially my wife Barbara.
