ACCESS CONTROL COMMITTEE REPORT MAY 8

The Access Committee met on May 1st.  After reviewing the resident questionnaire, we are recommending to the board they that they abide by the resident’s wishes (results were published in May Grapevine).

Reflective tape has been installed on the front entrance gate as suggested by a resident at the last meeting.  The front entrance reader has been repositioned and we will be putting down red tape on the pavers as a guide for drivers.

The lighting installation on the guardhouse still has to be addressed but will be completed in the following weeks.  Remember this is all volunteer services.

The new uniforms have been distributed to the guards which are identical to the previous shirts.

Regarding our 19 mile per hour speed limit, the committee is asking the board to request the Punta Gorda police Dept. loan us their SPEED WARNING DEVICE and have it set up at problem locations throughout the community.

We all know about the RED HAT LADIES, well we are considering designing a t-Shirt with a Seminole Lakes Logo on the front and a large 19 miles per hour on the back which the walkers, bikers, dog walkers, joggers or for anyone to wear. This is just another reminder for residents and visitors alike to abide by the posted speed limit.  We realize that many of our northern residents and visitors are heading back so our roads should be less congested for the next several months.

End of report, any comments or suggestions???
