LAKES & ROADS COMMITTEE REPORT – SEPTEMBER 2006

On September 6th Bob Toth and Joe Ring had a meeting with Craig Abbott of Abbotts Land Management.  We spoke about the best ways to stop land erosion on Lake A.  Most of the erosion is caused by rain runoff from the roofs of the houses on Lake A.

We have two options for the lake. Number One is to cover the shore banks with rip rap (white stone) that’s in place now. Number Two  is to grade the banks to about 22 degrees to 0 degrees.  We then resod the banks and we have to water the sod till it takes hold.

We will have pricing soon so Lake A land owners can vote on what options they want.

One of the rules to do this job is to have access between every six houses.  Determination will be made before the job is started and we will let the home owners know which houses will be picked by the contractor.

Cul-de-sac

Before we start the cul-de-sac sealing, Rich Hazenzahl and Joe Ring will call or see everyone that lives on the cul-de-sacs to be sealed.

We will let them know the date their cul-de-sac is scheduled for sealing and they can make arrangements for their cars or if they have appointments that day.

Due to the rain it is hard to get  a starting date.
