GOING AWAY/WHEN LEAVING HOME FORM

*Notify gate upon leaving and returning
*Have mail forwarded by post office or neighbor or held at Post Office
*Stop newspaper delivery
*Put telephone and cable TV on summer disconnect
*Shut off water to toilets, sinks, hot water tank, ice maker, washer and dishwasher
*Seal toilets with saran wrap
*Disposal – cut up lime or lemon, add ½ cup cooking oil, put in disposal and run for 5 seconds
*Cover all drains with duct tape
*Shut off breakers to hot water tank, dryer, stove and garage doors, etc.
*Pull plugs on microwave, tv’s, cable, lamps not on timers
*Cover all garage windows
*Properly store golf cart, unplugging charger
*Arrange for pool care, if necessary
*Video tape all belongings (or list) and keep in safe place
*Store valuables in a safe place
*Fog attic with water base material
*Do not cover information tube at mailbox. Ask neighbor to remove flyers and forward
