COVENANTS & GOVERNING DOCUMENTS COMMITTEE
DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
The Covenants & Governing Documents are the means by which the attractiveness, integrity and value of our community are maintained. They are designed to ensure enjoyment of individual residences and the community as a whole. They are legally binding for all and are also for the benefit of all.
With that in mind, the Covenants & Governing Documents Committee is responsible for the following:
* Following existing guidelines,
and, when appropriate, implementing new
procedures for the
enforcement of our Covenants by the existing Board.
* Participating in the monthly
inspection process for the purpose of monitoring
compliance with our
documents, then working as necessary with the oversight
director, POA Board
and the management company to resolve violations.
* Assisting other committees in
addressing Covenants issues and/or other
community-related
concerns.
* Reviewing our governing
documents on a periodic basis to ensure relevance to
the community’s
vision and needs and adherence to current law.
* Recommending changes to the
existing documents as requested by the
Board. These
changes are normally based on issues determined to be of
significant
importance to the community.
* Reviewing the calendar year’s
Board minutes and presenting, for summary
purposes only, any
changes in the Rules & Regulations and/or new Amendments
to the Board and
POA members at the annual meeting.
* Submitting for publication in
our monthly newsletter articles designed to inform
the community of
policies contained in our documents.
* As needed, updating the Rules &
Regulations section of the telephone directory
to provide accurate
and current policy information to the community.
* Having in place procedures to
provide new and current residents with copies of
our Covenants &
Governing Documents.
