COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS-APRIL BOARD MEETING
The Board has reviewed the existing Seminole Lakes Committees, Chairpersons, and has assigned Directors to oversee each one of these committees. A list of the Committees was published in the Grapevine along with Director in charge and Chairperson, as well as the website.
The Board felt two additional Committees would be beneficial to the board and those two new committees are:
Insurance – Al DiSessa Oversight Director, Chair to be determined
Finance – Al DiSessa, Oversight Director, Chair to be determined
To ensure the success of each Committee and to attract new volunteers; each committee has written "Responsibilities and Procedures" which will be posted on the website for your review. We are actively seeking new committee members and if you have a desire to join, please contact the Chairperson.
This Board believes the Committees are valuable to the community inasmuch as they are the "eyes and ears" of the community and give valuable input to the Board. The members do not take their responsibilities lightly and that is why our community is rated one of the best places to live in Charlotte County.
Additionally, the Board has agreed to appoint Al DiSessa as the alternate from Seminole Lakes to the South Charlotte County Coalition. Bob Toth remains as the representative to the coalition. The SCCC is a group of eleven homeowner associations with a common interest in promoting the welfare of their associations and to ensure they have a common voice on major issues. Articles will be appearing in the Grapevine and web page on a regular basis to keep all our residents current with the major issues and our involvement with SCCC.
We are having the Chairpersons make reports instead of Directors, so we will start in alphabetical order: Access Control, Activities, Architectural, CERT, Covenants, Creative Arts, Grapevine, Information Distribution, Landscape & Irrigation, Maintenance, Telephone Book, Website & Email, Welcoming. Bob Toth wants to make a presentation before the Lakes & Roads Committee Report.
