Activity Committee Annual Report March 2009

We started out the 2008 year with a March 17^th corned beef dinner and followed that with an April Wine tasting party at the pool. We closed out the month of April with a Sunset Cruise from Fisherman’s Village.

We had a Kentucky Derby party in early May and we donated $200 to the Cancer Fund. We had another race day, the Preakness and followed that with race at the Belmont for the Triple Crown.

In June, we had a bus trip to Tampa to watch the Tampa Bay Rays play the Red Sox. We had a scramble in August followed by a dinner with over 40 people at Benedetto’s Restaurant.

On Labor Day, we had a great party at the pool. In October we had an October fest with beer and brats and then we had our annual Halloween party at the pool.

In November we had the Turkey races which are always good for a lot of laughs. In December we had the annual Christmas party, this year it was held at Benedetto’s and we had a nice turnout. Later in December we had caroling in the bar. We had a New Years Eve party at the restaurant.

We had Bingo at the pool through the year and new we’re having Bingo at the restaurant and getting a large number of players.

In closing, I would like to thank my committee members for their support; Helen Bodnar, Jan Warner, Diane Barbata, Pat Gartner, Babe Derosiers, Bonnie Murphy, Maureen Meyer, Sue Virgilio, Alice Masciarelli, Vicki and Bill Murphy and especially my wife, Barbara.
